The staff attire of casual polo shirts sets the tone of this ultra contemporary hotel.
Inspired by the elements (earth, water, fire...) key words here are colour and curves. Step from the frenetic streets of New Delhi into a vast, white, curvaceous lobby highlighted by fuchsia pink.

A curvy tempting sofa and chairs are grouped together on a circular carpet, all in startling pink. Pink tinged lighting above and a very enticing pink entrance to the luxury boutique shout their presence. The lobby also houses temporary and permanent art collections, creating a gallery of some renown.

The 200-odd rooms are furnished with all you would expect in a world class hotel. Generously sized for a cramped city, they are streamlined, with attractive dcor and all business ‘mod cons’. The upmarket rooms on the Residence Floors include offerings such as 24-hour butler service.

Restaurants also enter the colour competition from the cool blue and white of Aqua to the Agni Bar with its radiant orange and flame effect wall. Beaded curtains, velvet, & suede fabrics offer a tactile yet glamorous environment.

As you would expect in a hotel of this calibre, cuisine is largely international, though do try the dishes from the many regions of India offered in Fire, which are authentic and delicious.

Highs Lows

• Hip & trendy with a buzzing atmosphere – certainly a place to be seen.

• Choice of mouth-watering high-class restaurants - Sunday brunch in Mist not to be missed.

• A welcome find to quickly re-adjust to the modern world after a tour of traditional Rajasthan

• Some may find the décor and atmosphere a little intense for a relaxing first or final night in Delhi.

• Not typically Indian.

• Presently the only access to the outdoor terrace is through one of the dining areas – take a towel or robe if you’re heading for a swim.
