Though one of Kerala’s largest resort hotels, the rooms and leisure facilities are spread over 44 acres of headland and beach, offering guests all the luxury, comfort and space they desire. Perched on, and over, a rocky outcrop, it offers, from all the rooms,†a stunning seascapes that is†most impressive at sunset.

The beach is clean and golden, the ocean clear and warm, and the sun utterly reliable. It’s just up to you to enjoy. Small children and the less sure footed may need a hand on the way down to the beach, but the new infinity pool with its terrace of smartly striped sun beds may do very well instead.

After its recent extensive renovation and upgrading, the Leela’s rooms are attractive and comfortable;†a pleasing mix of Keralan ethnic flavours, contemporary chic and modern facilities. King-size beds, fine linens and soft lights may be taken for granted.

There is ample opportunity to do nothing at all, very gracefully. You can†just acquire a suntan, or you may excuse your temptation in the different restaurants by spending time in the fitness centre, trying the water sports or tennis.

There is great advantage in being only 15kms from the local airport, valuable holiday time is not taken up by long, hot taxi rides. Unlike at Heathrow the planes do not pass overhead at 3 per minute.

Your holiday is incomplete without experiencing a sensuous, professional massage in the Ayurveda and Wellness Spa. The menu is extensive to meet your needs; from stress relief, cures for aching muscles or for persistent ailments. However good you felt before your treatment, you will feel even better afterwards.
