Highly recommended but not yet reviewed by our consultants

A superb and leisurely way to explore the most spectacular sights of the Golden Triangle and Rajasthan, in India’s North West. Take on the mantle of the Maharajas and Maharanis of the past as you enjoy the comfort of the 16 period carriages with lounges, restaurants, libraries, double & twin bedded cabins.

Coaches are named after former states and decorated in opulent style reflecting their title. Each cabin has its own en suite bathroom with hot and cold water, shower and toilet. Intercom will summon your personal valet to serve your morning tea, bedtime night cap, and whatever you require in between. Wall to wall carpeting softens the sound of the rail track, as the motions lulls you to a sound sleep.

Two restaurant cars – ‘The Maharaja’ and ‘The Maharani’ are true to their Rajasthani heritage, though they have widened their menus to include European, Chinese and regional Indian dishes.

A well stocked bar offers a variety of Indian and international brands.

This 8 day journey around India’s Golden Triangle and beyond into the heart of Rajasthan visits many of its world famous sites and buildings. Beginning in New Delhi at the comfortable time of 16:00 hours, a traditional welcome ceremony is followed by dinner after you have settled yourself in your room.

From this moment just sit back and be pampered as the varied natural and man made wonders are paraded before you.
